ABOUT 2ND CINE

2nd Cine was founded by Chicago based filmmaker Thomas Ciciura to help facilitate commercial productions by providing "Hollywood" quality grip, lighting and camera support in a reliable and professional packge making it easy and worry free for producers and directors of photography especially those traveling from other markets.

2nd Cine started out of a garage in Rockford, IL in 2007 shorthly after the introduction of the Panasonic DVX-100A and the RED One cameras and the growing ability to easily broadcast and consume video on the internet. 2nd Cine's misssion has always been to be a friendly resource for producers traveling to the Chicagoland area who need everything but know noone. We strive to be a turnkey equipment and crew solution for film, video and commercial photography productions.

Why Rockford? It's the best location to service the greater Chicago market as well as Millwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, The Quad Cities, Peoria and Champaign.

ABOUT GAFFER THOMAS S. CICIURA

With a backgropund in photography, Tom started at the bottom buiness scraping lables off cases at the local film camera rental facility hoping to learn as much as he could about the Motion Picture Industry. He worked on weekends as a Production Assistant and Grip until he eventually started freelancing as a Film Loader and 2nd Camera Assistant on several feature films, television shows, commercials and music videos eventually becoming the Gaffer and Cameraman he is today, striving to be a versitle team plyer and creatively tackling the challenges of getting great shots.

Tom has always been loyal to the Chicago Film community and built 2nd Cine helping his friends and colleagues grow and providing the best service and equiment for successful shoots.
